My name is Elisa, and I’m a trained Charlotte birth doula who found myself immersed in the world of birth culture during my first pregnancy in 2012. We had a fantastic, unmedicated birth with my first daughter on October 1st 2012. Six weeks later I took my first doula training and from that point on I jumped in with both feet.
As most mamas will attest, birth will change you. I had such a fantastic support network and I felt compelled to help parents achieve a birth that they could look back on with fondness, whether it be a home birth, hospital birth, or planned Caesarean. I feel that education and support are absolutely the best thing parents need during their positive transition into parenthood.
What’s a doula? In short, a doula is a professional support person who serves expectant women and new families during their transitions through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.
I offer prenatal education, birth doula services, placenta encapsulation, and postpartum support to the greater Charlotte area as well as Fort Mill and Rock Hill.
